Events

Our FREE cancer support program is 100% funded by the local community, and our annual fundraising events are a BIG part of making that happen

Interested in becoming a sponsor at a future fundraising event?

A vital part of our support comes from our Sponsors, which include caring corporations and organizations in the Twin Cities and throughout Minnesota. Please contact Katherine Todd, Executive Director (952.767.7620) to learn how you can sponsor a Gilda’s Club event or program.

October Shop for Gilda’s!

All across the Twin Cities in October 2019, businesses of all types from grocery stores to restaurants, clothing boutiques to liquor stores donated a % of sales, or hosted round ups to provide free support programs to anyone impacted by cancer. We call it “Shop for Gilda’s!” Some of the generous businesses agreed to fundraise for Gilda’s Club all month long, while others had special days dedicated to the cause. Locations included…

Thank you for all of these businesses and all of the community members who Shopped for Gilda in October!

2019 Celebrate a Place Breakfast

This annual breakfast is not just an event, it’s an experience! (Ask anyone who has attended.)

At the most recent breakfast, we were joined by nearly 1,000 members of the business, medical and cancer communities, and we raised more than $275,000 —generous community support that will help ensure anyone impacted by cancer can continue to access our comprehensive program of social and emotional support for FREE. All funds raised at the breakfast go directly to our program of support.

Hearing member stories is always a highlight of the breakfast. This year, we were moved and delighted by Grace Wethor, our LISTEN/™ Dear Cancer Teen Essay Contest winner. Read Grace’s story or watch her performance here. A huge thank you to all who contributed to this amazing experience, and especially to our Sponsors and Leaders in Giving.
