You are not alone on this journey. We’re here to support you however we can. As a start, (newly diagnosed families) we would like to present you with a welcome package to the club that no one wants to join. We currently serve patients and families in Wisconsin. Current patients, we provide ongoing support directly at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Too often, we hear stories of families struggling to get their child to eat while going through treatment. Chemo treatments can leave children with nausea, loss of appetite, and even changes in taste. Ice cream is a comfort food that we hope most will enjoy while providing some needed calories. Coffee was an integral part of our stay at Children’s. Every day we sought out a quality cup of coffee to wake up and be alert. Now that coffee is provided right on the hospital floor so you can stay near your child. Stone Creek Coffee is also assisting in this Program.
Something as small as a blanket can provide warmth and comfort to children through their hospital visits and chemo treatments. Through our community blanket drives, our gracious volunteers come together to tie fleece blankets which are delivered directly to patients at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Since our warriors come in all sizes and ages, we make sure to make blankets of various sizes and patterns.
