Free of charge and nonprofit, Gilda's Club offers support and networking groups, lectures, workshops, and social events in a nonresidential, homelike setting. Gilda's Club is a place where people learn how to live with cancer, whatever the outcome. Learn more about the Gilda's Club Program.
The Gilda's Club Twin Cities clubhouse is in development.
During the Clubhouse development stage, we are focusing on securing a location that is
accessible to the Twin Cities member base. The clubhouse needs to be:
- Centrally located to hospitals and cancer centers
- Convenient to greater metropolitan area
- Accessible to public transportation (light rail, buses and major freeways)
- Located near adequate off-street parking
Special Features in Our Clubhouse:
- Reception area to welcome and assist members
- Community Room suitable for a group of 75 to 150
- Group Rooms, approximately four to six, to accommodate small groups and Family Focus/Team Convene
- Kitchen area to handle day-to-day activities, special events and workshops
- Resource Room for a library of books, videos, journals and tapes
- Children’s Room “Noogieland”
- Game Room for teens and the young at heart
- Health Room for exercise activities and meditation
- Multi-Media Room for art and computer activities
- “It’s Always Something” Room for quiet individual meditation
- Workshop Room for arts and crafts
- Office Space
