Welcome Libby Utter, New Executive Director
October 11, 2017
The board of directors of Gilda’s Club Twin Cities is pleased to announce that Elizabeth (Libby) Utter is joining GCTC as executive director.
“On behalf of the board, staff, volunteers and the people we serve, I’m excited to announce that Libby is joining Gilda’s Club,” said Rick Kleven, Gilda’s Club Twin Cities board chair and vice president of government affairs for Thrivent Financial. “Libby brings a proven background in building relationships and ability to lead fundraising. Like so many of us, Libby too has been touched by cancer and understands the urgent and growing need for the services we provide.”
“Gilda’s Club Twin Cities is a remarkable organization that is successfully fulfilling its promise to provide critical social and emotional support for anyone in our community impacted by cancer,” said Libby. “I’m looking forward to helping GCTC continue building awareness of its important mission, broadening the scope of program delivery and ensuring its financial sustainability.”
Prior to joining GCTC, Libby served as executive director for Gillette Children’s Foundation and was the vice president of development for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. In addition, Libby has served as board member and volunteer for a variety of Twin Cities-based nonprofits. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, her career included leadership in executive search.
Libby’s official start date is October 23, and over the next several weeks Libby will be reaching out to you, our members, volunteers, donors and supporters, to get to know you through personal calls and meetings. We plan to bring our GCTC community together in the first quarter of 2018 to share more about our organization vision and goals for the future.
Welcome to Gilda’s Club Twin Cities, Libby!
